For many years heart health messaging was typically focused on the symptoms experienced by men. But the sypmtoms of heart disease can be markedly different in women. Recognizing this, Bakersfield Heart Hospital created the Women’s Heart Center, the first of its kind in Kern County. To introduce the Women’s Heart Center eMedia created a multi-media campaign to educate women about the different sypmtoms women can experience. Subsequent campaigns focused the low-cost Heart Health Checkup and how knowing your heart health could change your life.
